ᐅ Experiences with rimless toilets (e.g., Villeroy & Boch, Duravit, etc.)

Hello,
Over the past few years, I have been renovating a granny flat in my house and am now at the stage of selecting products for the bathroom. (It is a small bathroom with only 4sqm (43 sqft).)
At first, I was leaning towards a rimless toilet from Villeroy & Boch (Subway 3.0), including a matching vanity cabinet from the same series. The concealed cistern is from Geberit. I already have the shower, and the faucets and mixer for the shower will probably be Hansgrohe.
However, I have recently come across several online reviews criticizing the Subway 3.0 from Villeroy & Boch. Allegedly, it does not flush thoroughly; a lot tends to remain, and repeated flushing is often necessary. Splashing and complicated water volume adjustments on the cistern, just to get it to function reasonably well, were also frequently mentioned.
A plumber friend said, based on his experience, Duravit toilets rarely have issues, but of course, that is just one opinion.
Therefore, my question is: Are there people here who have long-term experience with rimless toilets from current product ranges and could share their feedback? If there are also good experiences with washbasins / mirrored cabinets, those would be welcome too, although due to space constraints, they may only be 50/55 or 60cm (20/22 or 24 inches) wide.
Regards,
Andre

motorradsilke31 Dec 2023 09:03We have the most affordable rimless model from Vigour. It was included in the general contractor’s offer without any upgrades. And we are satisfied. There is no splashing, and nothing gets stuck.

Singelküche31 Dec 2023 11:13I had this exact model installed three times.
All three users are very tidy, which is why it has been bothering me since the renovation two years ago.
If you hang fragrance stones on the edge, they can splash out.
When using the brush during flushing, you also need to be careful.
The worst part is that not everything gets flushed away every time; apparently, some residue remains at the siphon outlet and then slowly flows back.
Not always, but quite often.
Not all people are the same, but three times in a row?
It must be due to the design.
I have never seen anything like this before and believe that the water has to flow through slowly because of the shape to prevent splashing out.

The worst issue is that not everything gets flushed away, or residues seem to get stuck at the outlet of the siphon and then slowly flow back.

I’ve never seen anything like it before and believe that because of the shape, the water runs too slowly through to prevent splashing. We have the Clivia, and I can’t confirm any of this. We also have fragrance stones in it, and nothing splashes out. Nothing ever flows back either.
