Hello, I am planning to build a house in the near future and have been thinking about the masonry. Since I am not an expert, here are my general questions about masonry:

What do you think about mixed masonry?
To best combine the properties of the bricks, I would prefer sand-lime bricks for the interior walls and aerated concrete blocks (36.5cm (14.4 inches)) for the exterior walls.

Does this combination of sand-lime bricks and aerated concrete blocks make sense? Could using mixed masonry cause cracks?

Thanks everyone!

Are interior walls made of drywall comparable to those made of calcium silicate bricks in terms of sound insulation?
How do they perform regarding thermal storage capacity in summer?

I think you are mixing things up:

Load-bearing interior walls made of calcium silicate bricks and non-load-bearing interior walls made of plasterboard panels

The latter are solid walls.

Try googling gypsum fiberboard – it’s quite different from drywall.

Ok, sorry, I wasn’t aware of that.
Thanks for the information.
