Hello everyone,
after you helped me so much with my kitchen, I’m now asking for advice about mattresses.
I need a new one. I don’t know much about what’s available, and I understand that I have to try everything out myself.
More importantly, I want to know if anyone uses an IKEA mattress and how satisfied you are with it.
I’m interested in the MATRAND series (latex or memory foam) and the MORGEDAL (latex). Is their durability good? What do you think of them?
I believe that if the recommendations vary a lot, having a range of opinions is actually a good thing.

IKEA-Experte9 Jun 2016 22:40We know that you can’t find the right mattress in just 10 minutes. Your body needs about 4 to 6 weeks to get used to a new mattress. That’s why you can take your mattress home to lie on and sleep on it until you are truly convinced of its quality and feel completely comfortable. If not, return it! At any time.*
* Valid for all purchases from August 25, 2014. By presenting the receipt or invoice, you can return the mattress to your store, and we will refund the full purchase price.

I think this is sufficient time to determine whether it fits or not.

I think this is enough time to determine if it fits or not. That should be sufficient. Many people return it after just 1-3 days, but the body needs about two weeks to adjust.
Even if IKEA-Profi doesn't want to believe it, you will have difficulties returning a mattress with stains, etc....

RutenRudi11 Jun 2016 19:24I went to Ikea yesterday to get some information. Although the salesperson didn’t mention any specific limit, neither of us saw it as a big issue. I don’t plan to return after just six months, but even in that case, it should probably be possible. The salesperson also pointed out that if the item is heavily worn, you shouldn’t expect a full refund but rather a partial one. Since there is also a benefit from use in my case, I’m not too concerned about that... and I’ve never had any problems with goodwill from Ikea.
Now, regarding the topic:
We tried lying on several mattresses. We actually really liked the memory foam mattress from Matrand, better than the much more expensive models. I think we will sleep quite well on that... and it’s affordable too.
We will order soon.
