Hello everyone!!
I have heard about heating with liquid gas.. Can anyone share their experiences with it? I would like to consider this option, but only if it is a good investment....
Best regards, bibi

Hello,
This advice is clearly influenced by personal preferences and therefore cannot be generalized.
Certainly, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is always an alternative. What is often overlooked is that due to its higher energy content compared to natural gas, the lower modulation limits of the heat generators increase significantly. The consequence: excessive cycling with all the well-known negative side effects (energy efficiency, wear and tear).
Best regards.

So what speaks against it? Maybe because the initial cost is lower than for a heat pump or pellet system? Everyone has to decide for themselves, and those who want to save properly in the future have to pay more today. In any case, I would recommend a propane gas heating system over a budget heat pump from ALDI.

Hello, for me, a discussion starting with just “Hiiii” and “Hä” is not a proper basis for a debate.
Whether oil is more expensive than something else is not the overriding topic here! First, it should be clarified what options could or should be used, what the operator wants, and whether it makes sense to continue using the propane system or switch to something else. Factors such as storage space, odor, safety risks, existing pipelines, fuel costs (which are difficult to predict), and others all play a role. An oil tank alone is not the same as an oil heating system. Since not all conditions are known, or they may appear quite differently on site, this discussion is not conclusive. These are just collected opinions that do not replace professional advice—if such advice is even desired.
I personally have many clients who want to convert, but then are suddenly shocked that this ALSO costs money—and if savings are made on this, fuel costs can even be higher than before. For this reason, a pellet heating system has already been ruled out. There are other criteria besides price.
I am only a heating contractor and, of course, do not want to criticize professionals like you. For this reason, please consider this as MY personal opinion, without knowing more details.
Best regards,
Dellino
