Hello,
we are currently looking for a construction company (masonry/concrete construction) to build our house. However, those we contact either do not respond or it takes a very long time to get answers. We have a preferred company from the town where we live (our first conversation was 2.5 weeks ago). Unfortunately, they have not replied for over two weeks now (they are not on vacation).
Now the question: Do you possibly know a construction company you can recommend? And is it normal for responses to take several weeks?
Thank you in advance.

They make a good impression on me (based on the website, I don't know any customers). Who is in first place?First place is KB Brandis from Jüterbog. I'm still waiting for their offer. The initial conversation has been the most pleasant so far.

My wife and I visited the current third-place builder, Märkische Landhäuser in Ludwigsfelde, today. A very good "non-salesperson." He doesn't try to push anything on you and doesn’t speak badly about other companies. We really liked him. The initial price was €267,000 (including 19% VAT) for:
- 146 sqm (approximately 1,570 sq ft) bungalow (including covered terrace)
- Brine-water heat pump (deep drilling)
- Electric roller shutters
- 25-degree (25°) hip roof
- Lift-and-slide door in the living room
- Construction access road included
- Multi-utility house entry included
- Bitumen membrane included
He will expand his calculation to include:
- Controlled mechanical ventilation system
- Attractive entrance area
- Solid concrete ceiling
- Prefabricated garage with flat roof
A question about the solid concrete ceiling in a bungalow. The managing director said it is worthwhile for three reasons:
- Thermal insulation
- Cold protection
- Sound insulation
What are your thoughts on this?

Sounds good,
we have a wooden beam ceiling with insulation and drywall, U-value 0.2.
For a concrete ceiling, additional insulation is needed, or it would be like a bunker with a very thick ceiling.
However, soundproofing should be better.
I would have chosen a concrete ceiling only if the walls had higher load-bearing capacity to allow for adding another floor. But we don’t need that.
