Nowadays, when building a house, you often have the advantage of getting an all-inclusive package (architect, energy consultant, site manager, etc.). However, I’m not entirely sure about the usefulness of the site manager specifically.
I’m going to assume quite directly that a site manager who is not paid by me might not always fully represent my interests and, in borderline situations, may side more with the construction company rather than with me. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Has anyone ever asked to remove the site manager from the financial offer? If so, how did the construction company react? Has anyone ever had two site managers on one project, and if yes, did this lead to any conflicts?
Thank you very much...
