Hello,
yesterday we visited a showroom to look at natural stone tiles and were really impressed.
We especially liked beige/brown travertine tiles laid in a Roman pattern.
Then there were Peacock multicolor slate tiles and finely split slate called "Mustang."
Does anyone have experience with natural stone tiles?
So far, most opinions I have read are positive. After sealing, the floors are reportedly easy to maintain and resistant to damage.
Maybe someone here has experience and can share some insights...

Knallkörper5 May 2017 00:32We installed a little over 100 sqm (1,076 sq ft) of granite. I applied the sealant myself, which was quite challenging. We will clean it soon using special care products, but in general, granite is resistant to cleaners and chemicals. (Unlike marble, which is why we decided against using marble.)
I applied a slate oil with a color enhancer to the entire floor. It looks really great.
Before that, I rented a floor scrubber and gave everything a thorough cleaning.
When mopping, the rough surface can catch on you quite easily. But using a relatively thick, fluffy mop works well ; )
Dust and dirt are hardly visible on the floor, even though we haven’t paved yet and there is sand and gravel all around the house.
Everything else will become clear over time.
