Hello,
I purchased and installed the Omlopp LEDs with a 30W transformer from Ikea for my living room.
Unfortunately, some of the cables are too short. I would like to cut and extend them. I believe this should work – but is there any reason not to splice cables in order to extend them? Otherwise, it just won't fit.

if it is done properly and the conductor cross-section is not chosen too small, I don’t see any reason why it shouldn’t work.

Soldered joints with heat shrink tubing.
Works perfectly.
Best regards,
