Hello everyone.
I have the following question.
I am currently setting up a commercial bathroom, and unfortunately, it has no window.
So I need to rely on ventilation... and I was thinking of using a humidity-controlled fan.
So far so good... yesterday, I made a 100mm (4 inch) hole through the partition wall from the bathroom to the garage, and from there the duct is supposed to continue along the garage ceiling to the outside.
Now, I have the following problem.
The hole came out right in front of two pipes running across the garage ceiling. That means I have to go with a 90-degree bend right after the wall, passing under the pipes, and then about 4 meters (13 feet) straight along the garage ceiling to the next wall. Since I also want to insulate the garage ceiling in summer—because the kitchen is located above—I don’t want the exhaust duct to run too low.
Now the question: Do I need to plan a 4-5 cm (2 inch) slope over these 4 meters (13 feet), or is it enough to continue vertically after the 90-degree bend and skip the slope?
Because there will only be one shower per day, so I assume not much condensation will form, right?

Best regards,
David
