Hello community,

is it possible to direct the air upwards with a recirculation range hood (LAGAN), even though it is designed for recirculation?

The recirculation mode is very noisy, and I would like to vent the air through a duct upwards into the kitchen, without using a shaft to the outside.

It is possible to switch between recirculation and ducted mode, and a charcoal filter is already installed.

Best regards

You can attach this exhaust:

Vertical gray metal plate with a slight fold in the middle

LAGAN
Exhaust pipe for blower, stainless steel

Of course, a pipe would still have to be added, but I guess it wouldn’t make much difference. The technicians should decide.

Recirculation hoods are always much louder and less effective than those that vent outside.

We were only allowed to install recirculation in our home, and researching the right hood took me at least as much effort as finding the right dishwasher. Since we have an open-plan kitchen, nobody wants unbearable noise. Now we are satisfied, but the hood turned out to be much more expensive than the Lagan and similar models.

Installing a pipe upwards does not make it an exhaust hood if it blows further into the interior of the kitchen.

As a student, you just turn the music up a bit. 🙂
