Hello everyone,
we recently had the bathroom fittings appointment, but I'm still not entirely convinced about the selected cold water tap.
I find it difficult since only cold water flows from the tap, and most faucets are designed for both cold and hot water.
Does anyone have a nice cold water tap installed and can provide an example? I unfortunately haven't found much on this topic...
Thanks

We have one of the common infrared faucets. It is connected to hot water but fixed so that guests don’t need to adjust anything. In your case, simply choose an infrared faucet as well. They are often designed for cold water only.

In winter, really cold water comes out of our tap, so cold that I can’t even hold my hands under it—it actually hurts. I couldn’t wash my hands with such cold water at all.

The water comes from preheated pipes. Since 99% of them have no or limited circulation, it shouldn’t be any different from cold water in those cases. I don’t see it as a big issue!

I would install a copper pipe and an industrial valve with a round handwheel. Simple, cost-effective, and very cool.

I’m the type of person who doesn’t feel the need to follow every new trend and often improvises, but having only cold water is, to me, completely outdated because cold water is uncomfortable. I don’t want to put my guests or my family through that, since a guest bathroom is ultimately used every day by family members as well, and chilly water has nothing to do with the comfort that is obviously expected in a home. I would install an instantaneous water heater.

Only cold water would be a disaster for me personally (I have Raynaud’s syndrome) – but I believe that’s not the main point here. In the Benelux countries and France, having only cold water in the guest toilet is a completely normal standard. Anyone looking will also find a wide range of suitable faucets.
