A long time ago, I asked for a rough estimate of whether my initial requirements were feasible and could fit within a general budget.
Since some time has passed, the planning now needs to become more precise. For a while now, I have been browsing real estate portals to look for plots of land and have been carefully studying the websites of developers. After all, without a suitable plot, you can’t really know if the future house you choose will fit. I have a general idea of where I want to build, and I know there are two new residential developments nearby, but unfortunately, according to the local municipalities, all the plots are already taken.
Do you have any tips on where else I might search or if there’s something I might have completely overlooked? I am from Lower Saxony.

First, you need to be more specific, and second, most building plots are no longer advertised because the big construction companies or banks’ real estate agencies already have them on hold.
For example, near us there are two new housing developments. In property portals, there are no plots listed, but there are many new house listings—by construction companies that have reserved those plots.

Does that mean I should simply start looking for planned houses in the residential areas?
In the region around Gehrden, Ronnenberg, somewhere in that general area

Or simply check the website of the city where you want to build. At the same time, you can also inquire about which projects (residential areas) are planned for the future.
