Hello,
Our architect actually recommended clay roof tiles, but an acquaintance suggested that we should also consider fiber cement roof tiles (Eternit), as they are significantly more affordable than clay tiles.
Concrete roof tiles are less of an option for us due to some negative reports about them deteriorating after a few decades.
Has anyone had experience with the company Eternit? Asbestos hasn’t been used for several years now, so what are the pros and cons of fiber cement panels as roof covering?
Thank you very much for all suggestions and experiences.

Oh, okay. What is the reason for that? I would have expected problems with heavier or larger roof tiles.
When buying roofing for a new single-family house, do people usually get special mounting roof tiles designed for photovoltaic rails, or do they often cover the entire roof area with the same type of roof tiles for economic reasons and then attach the panels using roof hooks?
