Those who are currently planning a photovoltaic system or installing one in February should take a look at the Solar Peak Law.
In times of negative electricity prices, it seems that there will no longer be any compensation, or operators will be forced to limit the system’s output. From my perspective, this means that photovoltaic systems without storage will likely no longer be economical compared to those with storage.
Our (storage-free) system will be installed on the roof this week, and I hope we can commission it before the deadline for the law to take effect.

As I understand it, you can choose between a smart meter that individually reduces your feed-in when it exceeds a certain limit, or a basic reduction capped at 60%.
However, there is apparently some kind of contract extension in return, from what I have gathered.
But yes, overall, storage systems are becoming more worthwhile now – due to the new regulation and the fact that they are getting cheaper all the time. I recently saw an offer for 120 €/kWh (about 36¢/kWh)...

On a supplier's website, I saw the expected date of 01.03.25.
In the photovoltaic forum, I quickly found the date when the law comes into effect, which is after the signature by the Federal President once it has passed the Federal Council. It has already passed the Federal Parliament. The next Federal Council meeting will be on 14.02.25.
