Hey,

my area will soon be covered by fiber optic installation. My question:
Can I have the empty conduit for the fiber optic cable installed inside the existing underground conduit (building entry) where the telecom cable already runs?
Thanks!

Technically, this is probably possible if it is large enough.
I doubt that the service provider will do it. It might be that the fiber optic cable is simply blown in along with it...
Just ask the network provider.

It wasn’t a problem for us. The cable connection was already installed in a conduit. Later, the protective conduit for the fiber optic cable was simply pulled in as well. It has a diameter of about 1cm (0.4 inches). The fiber will be blown in later.

You will receive the necessary information materials in due time, just like all other property owners.

If I had relied on that, I wouldn’t have any available multi-utility connections left now.
