Hello everyone,

We moved into our newly built house in April this year, and now one of the final tasks remains. When we bought the staircase, we had a groove milled into the stringer from the ground floor to the upper floor.
The plan is to install an LED strip in this groove, which ideally can be controlled via our smart home system (Busch Jäger free@home).
Originally, I wanted to use an LED strip from LEDVANCE, as their product range includes strips that can be controlled via Wi-Fi and integrated directly into the Busch Jäger smart home system.
Unfortunately, these strips are only available with a maximum length of 5m (16.4 feet), whereas my groove is almost 6m (19.7 feet) long.

Now I have to look for alternatives. The LED strip should have the following features:
- Dimmable
- RGB white
- If possible, a self-adhesive back to stick it directly into the groove.

I don’t have much experience with this yet. I have also laid a 5-core cable into the groove, which runs to the technical room. A switchable outlet integrated into the Busch Jäger system could be installed there to switch the strip on and off. For dimming and other controls, a control unit will be needed, which I assume is included with the strip.

Does anyone have experience with a similar project?

I also have the following questions:
- What power supply is recommended? 24V, 12V, or 230V?
- How do you install an LED strip around a 90° bend (I have two of those)?
- Which supplier or shop would you recommend?

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Thomas
