Hello,
I wanted to ask if anyone here happens to know since when the Elverdam mixer tap has been available at IKEA?
Our hose is defective, and IKEA doesn’t have any replacement parts for it. This would mean that we have to throw away a mixer tap that cost €120 (about $130) after a very short period of use.
Since the receipt is no longer available, probably lost during the move, the 10-year IKEA warranty should still apply if the product hasn’t even been on the market for 10 years.
Best regards,
Geeko

IKEA-Freund8 Nov 2013 17:13Elverdam has been available since around 2007. IKEA’s warranty terms require the buyer to provide proof of purchase in the form of a receipt.
I cannot estimate to what extent you can expect goodwill.

Nayla_10688 Nov 2013 22:11Hi,
There should be a stamp or sticker somewhere on the underside of the mixer tap with a 4-digit number indicating the manufacturing year and week.
Additionally, you would need to provide some proof of purchase, such as a receipt or possibly a bank statement showing the payment for the respective Ikea purchase. If you no longer remember exactly when you bought the Elverdam, this will likely be difficult.
By the way, the mixer taps have not "always" had a 10-year warranty. The warranty conditions that apply are always those at the time of purchase. You can ask for these details at the store.
So, either, as the IKEA expert already suggested, visit a plumbing specialist, or pack up the mixer tap and go to Ikea to try your luck and hope for goodwill.
Best regards
