Hello forum community, I have the following problem:
I have a circuit breaker in the bathroom that powers a clock radio. Originally, I intended it for a dryer. Now sometimes the power suddenly cuts off when the radio is plugged in, but the breaker does not trip. If I switch the breaker off and on again, and then test with a voltage tester, the power is back. However, when I plug in the radio, the power goes out, although the breaker stays on. The indicator doesn’t turn off abruptly but gradually dims. I have checked the contacts in the socket, and they are tight. I have now connected the socket to another circuit breaker (washing machine) in the distribution board, and everything works as it should. The strange thing is that I only rewired the upper cable; the lower one I left as it was. Could the circuit breaker be faulty?
