ᐅ Approximate cost estimation for electrical work – DIY or electrician

elvsiettWe are planning to renovate a 70m² (750 sq ft) apartment and I have two questions regarding the electrical work:
1.) I have a master electrician in the family who would do the entire job, but a friend said there could be issues because he is already retired and might not be able to certify the work... I don’t know anything about this, but is she right?

2) What are the approximate material costs for the electrical work in a 70m² (750 sq ft) apartment?

schornstein6 Oct 2011 17:01If the apartment has a distribution board, there is no need for disconnection. The retiree can easily handle that. Only when replacing the meter you definitely need to hire a company.
The costs depend on the equipment, which outlets, how many… plus cables. Add everything up and go online to compare prices. We ordered almost everything through the internet. Well, almost everything.
