I don’t know if anyone else besides me enjoys analyzing consumption and numbers related to the electricity and gas price caps and their forecasts, so here is just an attempt:

Forecast: Electricity 2,400 kWh per year, consumption since 06/04/22 at 2,917 kWh
Forecast: Gas 20,000 kWh per year, consumption since 06/04/22 at 52.81 m3 (cubic meters) → converted with factor 10 results in 528.1 kWh

The following is for those who want more detailed information:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Single-family house (Leipzig district) with underfloor heating / tiles throughout
Built according to energy saving regulations (gas condensing boiler plus solar thermal system)
Approx. 139 sq m (1,495 sq ft) of living area
Residents are two adults, no children, home all day
Moved in early August 2022
Electricity and gas meters have been running since about mid-June 2022
Until September 2022, supply was via temporary contract; since October 2022, basic supply
Special features: sauna (operated once a week using high-voltage power) and home brewing beer (about once a month)
Thermal final energy per sq m: 37.57 kWh/m2a – auxiliary final energy per sq m: 2.87 kWh/m2a – primary energy per sq m: 46.5 kWh/m2a

Edit: Unfortunately, I was no longer able to change the title to "...-price cap," which would be more accurate.

I didn't have a forecast, but electricity consumption since February 22 (according to the meter) is 2931 kWh.
We have only been living here properly since June. Unfortunately, I didn’t note the meter reading at that time, but I estimate it was about half that amount. Consumers are the heat pump, controlled residential ventilation, and from June also the refrigerator and freezer as well as the stove and oven. Home office and my wife also has some plant grow lights.

Since the electricity price cap only applies at a high rate of 40 cents and I have been on a new contract since the day before yesterday at 33.8 cents (unfortunately increased from 25 cents), I’m not interested in the cap at all. It’s somewhat frustrating, considering I have an annual consumption of 10,000 kWh.

Oh, I completely forgot that this is about the brake. I'm still at 28.5 cents.

How was your monthly payment calculated then? Our first letter included, under "Consumption and Meter," among other things, "Estimated Annual Consumption:".

I have "transferred" the electricity contract. That’s probably the reason. Although the monthly payment has actually decreased a bit, which is strange since I now have a major additional consumer (previously district heating). Hmm, maybe I should have the monthly payment increased, but the annual statement is coming up soon anyway.
