I am currently renovating a three-room apartment from the 1960s in northern Italy. The entire electrical system and plumbing need to be replaced.
Most of the wiring will run through the hallway, from which all rooms branch off, and where the breaker panel and gas boiler are also located.
We can either lower the ceiling to accommodate the wiring or chase the floor.
Is the latter possible without removing the entire screed? In other words, can the old tiles be removed and the existing screed (or whatever material was used) be chased?
Thank you very much!
