As I am currently planning my own home, I am considering where I can save costs by doing some work myself. For most tasks related to interior finishing or the construction of the house, I only feel confident taking on minor helper roles. However, since I have completed training as an industrial electrician and further education as an electrical engineer and have been working in this field for 12 years, I would like to handle the house electrical installation myself as much as possible. Since I have no experience specifically with residential electrical systems, I am wondering which tasks I can safely carry out on my own and which should be left to someone with the necessary basic knowledge?
Thank you.

You can drill the boxes, chase the walls, and pull the cables. If necessary, you can also terminate them... including the entire low-voltage section (doorbell, telecommunications, LAN, SAT, and possibly smart components).
The switch cabinet, meter, and commissioning should/must be handled by a professional.
You will probably need one anyway for the construction power supply.

When planning, keep in mind that the grounding must be installed by an electrician or under the supervision of one. This ensures that the grounding is done according to standards.
