lepoleHello everyone,
I am new here and looking for information about IKEA electrical appliances.
My wife and I plan to buy an IKEA kitchen in December.
IKEA offers a 5-year warranty, which sounds good. However, I can’t find any information about the electrical appliances.
We want the ivory-colored Bodbyn kitchen, along with the matching oven and microwave. We also like the built-in dishwasher Enstadt (or whatever it’s called) and the Vindrun extraction hood.
But here’s the question: Are these appliances any good? Or do they break down after a short time? Unfortunately, there’s nothing to be found about this on the internet. So, I’m asking the community. Are you convinced by these appliances, or do you prefer to buy from brand-name manufacturers? Does IKEA’s current offer even come with a lifetime warranty? Or does the lifetime return policy not apply to electrical appliances?
Best regards,
Lepole

Hello,
I also thought about it for a long time and couldn’t find anything online.
That’s why I decided to go with Neff appliances.
The Ikea appliances actually make a good impression, and they offer a 5-year warranty only if they are confident in their products.
We also have Bodbyn Ivory, but at the moment there is a big problem—many fronts have been unavailable for months.
Hopefully, everything will be sorted out by December. ))

Hi jelimi,
Thanks for the quick reply. But aren’t there always issues with fit when using third-party appliances?
That’s what I’ve heard here on the forum. I’m really torn. The appliances from Ikea look like they fit better with the kitchen design. Looking forward to your experiences!

Sektionschef4 Sep 2014 07:32You often hear and read that people are not satisfied with Ikea’s electrical appliances. Many are especially unhappy with the dishwashers. I only bought the range hood and induction cooktop from Ikea because the Folklig induction cooktop was available for around 199 euros in the Midsommar sale, and the range hood is the Underverk model, which is built into the overhead cabinet. However, the refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher will not be Ikea appliances in our case. Mainly because we want a 0-degree zone in the refrigerator, which Ikea does not offer at all.
