Hello,

I hope this is the right place to ask this question.
We want to have electric roller shutters installed in our house. The builder is charging 198 € per shutter, including a switch at each window.

My question is: Is this price reasonable, or would it be better to choose manual crank shutters and have them retrofitted later?
(I’m deliberately using “have them retrofitted” because I would first need to find a professional for that, as I have absolutely no knowledge of electrical work myself.)

Motor about €50 (more is always possible)
Interlocked toggle switch with arrow markings and frame about €15
Power cable per meter about €1.00 – €1.50 (power supply for the motor)

That’s the material cost so far

@Elektro
If I request it, I will probably get an answer, but currently I do not have one because no company is listed in the preliminary pattern catalog.

Is the price for a front-mounted or top-mounted roller shutter? Aluminum or PVC?
If it is a top-mounted roller shutter, is there an internal plasterboard panel, or do you see the "white box"?
The price for a roller shutter with a "China motor" is initially acceptable, almost too cheap.

Insulated aluminum louvers

Exterior window with brown roller shutter, facade elements, and neighboring houses in view

Then the price including the motor is fair

We are currently planning how to connect the roller shutters.
Can a mutually interlocked multi-way switch only move the shutters fully up or fully down, or can it also stop them in between?

No, that is not correct.
The switch works like a light switch, meaning once you turn the switch "off," the shutter will stop moving.

Since you mentioned a switch, I assume you are not using a central control system, which I do not recommend. If you are interested, I can gladly share a control system concept.
