Hello,
after 10 years, we are getting tired of the paving and related maintenance. Back then, we filled the joints with gravel. Now, it requires sweeping, scraping out the joints, and so on. Additionally, a green film is slowly forming (see photo).
What do you recommend? Should we sweep in sand? Let the moss grow? Or maybe seal the joints after all?
Thanks a lot

Sweep in a seed mix for joints or similar areas and allow it to grow properly. You can do that, but it contradicts the original idea of leaving the joints deliberately wide and filling them with gravel so that water can drain better and faster there.

However, this goes against the idea of leaving the joints intentionally wide and filling them with gravel to allow water to infiltrate better and faster. This argument is contradicted by the fact that wider joints tend to become overgrown more easily.H
