We want to level our garden.

The length of the garden is about 14m (46 feet). Within these 14m (46 feet), there is a slope of about 80cm (31 inches).

I was thinking of using L-shaped retaining walls and then adding fill.

What is the most cost-effective solution?

THANK YOU!!!! Best regards

The idea with the planting stones sounds good!

Did you build a concrete foundation for them, or were they placed directly on the ground?

We want to use the soil that will be excavated from our basement construction.

Honestly, no idea... When that was done, my wife and I were in the delivery room... so it didn’t really matter, whether with or without concrete.

But in our case, no heavy loads need to be supported... it’s just about 1 meter (3 feet) above the neighbor’s garden level.

;-)

Perfect, thanks for the picture!! The height difference would be similar for us!

Does anyone know if a concrete foundation is required here or not? I suppose one is probably needed...
