Hello,

once the foundation slab is completed, how long does it usually take before masonry work begins? I would also like to know approximately how long it takes to finish a timber frame structure. I assume it is practical to have a construction waste container on site at the start of the masonry work, or are there other suggestions? Is the container typically kept on site for the entire duration of the shell construction, or is a new container brought in later? Perhaps someone can explain the usual procedure here.

Thank you!

Debris is not all the same, and if you're unlucky, the container will be charged as mixed construction waste. Then you might pay €250 or more per ton. You really have to be careful about who disposes of what there.

The rental period is less important; here I pay 50 cents per day.

Yes, I have already noticed the differences. What is the best way to handle this? You can’t really order a separate container for every type of waste. Your 50 cents is nothing. I haven’t come across such a price before. Not bad.

Just a moment, regarding the daily rate, of course there is also the travel cost and the first x weeks free. That’s the only aspect where all the companies here differ slightly. They all transport the debris themselves to the same disposal facility, so the prices are the same there.

A few days

For what purpose? We didn’t have one during the entire construction. I also don’t recall our neighbors in the development having one.

Here, each tradesperson simply took their waste with them properly (which is really manageable on a daily basis). There isn’t much waste generated anyway.

I thought there would be leftover bricks or debris of some kind. Especially since an employee of the contracting company mentioned this in relation to the container.
