Hello everyone,

to better estimate my own work efforts in house construction, I would appreciate your approximate "benchmark values" regarding effort and duration.
Please provide an estimate of how long the following tasks might take—considering that two people are working together (skill level: "rather inexperienced"):
  • Installing click vinyl flooring over approximately 80m² (860 sq ft) on one floor?
  • Insulating between rafters in the attic (area without skylights) – the usable floor area of the attic is about 120m² (1,290 sq ft); I do not yet know the exact roof surface area of the pitched roof?
  • Sanding and painting walls (starting from plaster at Q2 level) over around 112m² (1,205 sq ft) of living space?

Thank you very much!

I was thinking about 5 days each... Does that work?

Nope... Never. Unless you work 24/7. Expect at least about four weeks for everything. At minimum...

You can easily install 80m2 (860 sq ft) of vinyl flooring in just 3 days. No idea about the rest...

For vinyl, 5 days will definitely be enough. When it comes to painting, I wouldn't be so sure. If two coats are needed, then probably not.
