Hello dear forum,

I hope I’m in the right place under the “Plumbing” category...

Here is my situation:
At home, we have installed a "Duo DFR backwash filter with pressure reducer (47-286.22 0612)" from Richter and Frenzel. How can the filter be backwashed, and how often should this be done? Unfortunately, I have never done this since 2013 (!) and only just became aware of it now. :-(

Are there any hoses available that can be attached to bridge the path from the “Duo DFR” to the drain?

Photos attached...

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you.

A 50mm (2-inch) HT pipe fits at the bottom, allowing you to direct it into a drain or manhole.

Hello

Drainage as described above, alternatively place a bucket underneath.
Operation is probably the black handle pointing toward the wall at the bottom.

A bucket will do. It might splash a little, but you rotate it once within a few seconds and that’s it. Then you have 3 liters (3.2 quarts) in the bucket. At least, that’s how it works for us.
