Our contractor advised us to upgrade our drywall with Knauf Diamant for better soundproofing around the utility shafts and because it is more suitable for wet rooms than the standard green boards. According to the manufacturer, it offers an improvement in sound insulation of 6-10 dB.
Is this worthwhile? Unfortunately, I can only say that the drywall walls planned by the developer are double-layered with an insulation layer (I believe mineral wool) in between.
Thank you in advance!
