Hello, I wanted to install the display cabinet door guides today. However, I noticed that neither of the drilling templates fits.

More precisely, when I mark the holes using the drilling template, the hole distances don’t match the holes of the component that is supposed to be attached there 😕. The other template doesn’t fit either because it is too wide. Since it is an aluminum frame, I’m hesitant to drill any holes just by guesswork. Am I making a mistake in my thinking, or why doesn’t it fit?

I would appreciate it if someone could help me. 😕

You should be a bit more specific about which cabinet you are referring to and which component you mean. I can only guess at this point...

So, this concerns the Korpus Faktum wall cabinet 70x40 cm (27.5x15.7 inches) and the Avsikt glass door 70x40 cm (27.5x15.7 inches).

Inside the cabinet body, there are prefabricated door lifters with a lock on both the left and right sides to ensure the door closes quietly. However, these need to be connected to the door itself for the system to work properly. Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact name of these parts, only that they must be screwed onto the left and right sides of the frame of the glass door at the correct height. Then the door lifters can be clicked in. According to the instructions, the standard hinges that are also included should be discarded.

Now, here’s my problem: the instructions include two templates, one for the Faktum wooden door and one for the Avsikt glass door. When I mark the drill holes using the Avsikt template and then place the part to be screwed on over it, only one of the indicated holes (let’s say the first one) matches the holes on the part. The other marked holes are covered by the part because they are too close together, so they no longer line up. I hope this makes sense. At the moment, I also can’t mount the unit on the wall because I still need to figure out how to securely fix it to a drywall (plasterboard) wall.

I could use the first marked drill hole and then align the other three holes accordingly, but even then I wouldn’t know if the distance from the frame to the first drill hole is correct and whether the door will hang in its proper position. 🙁

Part 118187 is screwed onto wooden doors, and AVSIKT 120785. Have you taken this into account?

Yes, I have taken that into account; the drill holes of part 120785 do not match the markings on the template AA-409051-1.

Well, let's see if I can manage this. Thank you very much for your help.
