Hello forum,

I have a clogged drain that I cannot clear myself. It is a type of drain I am not familiar with. I was unable to remove the "plug" in the center. Is it possible to take it out, and if so, how?

I tried some plunging, but it didn’t help.

Can anyone guide me on how to clean this drain?
Empty round hole in the wall with metal ring, probably a former light or pipe opening.

Open bathroom drain: round metal cover lying next to the hole in the tiled floor.

Open wall opening with round metal part, dark interior, dirty seal.

Drain cleaner (preferably in gel form) is available at any discount store. Pour in half a bottle... wait half an hour – clear.

Haha, today someone came to check the drain. The plug in the middle could be removed with just a bit of gentle force. He used a screwdriver to pry it up, and then everything could be cleaned very easily. Well, that was—actually fortunately—a very minor issue. But you didn’t figure it out either. :-)))

Did you miss post #2? @wiltshire already mentioned it. So why not give it a try?

Because I had already tried it before and it didn’t work. You probably overlooked post #1.
