ᐅ Double wire mesh fence with privacy screen mounted on L-shaped concrete blocks—feasible?

Good morning,
I have already read several threads on this topic, but every case is a bit different. As the headline says, I want to install a 1.8m (6 feet) fence with privacy screening on L-shaped concrete blocks. For this, I ordered various brackets (L-shaped with 12.5mm (0.5 inch) elongated holes) that are specifically designed for this purpose. Now, after reading other threads, I’m a bit concerned about the wind load. Originally, I planned to fix the brackets with 10mm (0.4 inch) heavy-duty anchors and also glue them in. Our L-blocks are 12cm (5 inches) thick and have been cast in concrete. I assume they should be strong enough. After what I’ve read, I would now use 12mm (0.5 inch) heavy-duty anchors. In addition, I would use two rows of a slightly wind-permeable privacy screen. Is this plan still too risky or feasible? The fence will be attached not only to the L-blocks but also extend a bit further. Would it help if I set posts every 1.25m (4 feet) instead of every 2.5m (8 feet) and cut the panels to fit?
Attached is a picture of the situation.
Thank you very much.

xMisterDx2 Aug 2023 13:01As I said... until about a week ago, I probably would have thought, "Sure, go ahead, no problem..." But then the neighbor’s fence ended up in our driveway, and his son’s playhouse was blown 25m (82 feet) through my garden. And even then, the gusts were nowhere near storm force.
If my car had been parked there, it would have been a total loss...

Hausbauer20212 Aug 2023 13:43Ok, then I misunderstood. I thought it was supposed to go behind the L-shaped concrete blocks, not in front of them. Placing them in front would definitely be possible. Thanks, I’ll take a closer look at it later. How close can I place it to the L-shaped blocks? The area is only 3m (10 feet) wide, so if I also have to keep 0.5m (20 inches) away from the L-shaped blocks, I lose quite a bit of space.

Has the neighbor checked if this is allowed?
I know many development plans where this is not permitted facing the street. Even with the extremely tight crop of the photo, I also thought that a visibility triangle might not be far away ;-)

You don’t have to concrete the entire post. You can secure it with anchors, but pour them into a separate foundation. If that foundation is 80 cm (31 inches) deep, it will also support a 1.8 m (6 ft) fence. But yes, I would prefer to place a post every 1.25 m (4 ft) rather than every 2.5 m (8 ft).

Hausbauer20212 Aug 2023 15:13Phew, now I’m confused 😀 So, should I pour concrete to set the posts into the ground in front of the L-bricks, or should I create a foundation for the posts? I’ll draft everything tomorrow and upload it here. Maybe something else will become clear then.
