Hello,
we are building a semi-detached house and are currently deciding on the windows. We are leaning towards triple glazing with a U-value of 0.6 and a Gealan 7000 profile featuring 5 chambers and a profile depth of 74mm (2.9 inches).
It is often mentioned that windows become too heavy with triple glazing, which could affect their durability.
What is your opinion or experience?

no worries, the windows equipped with triple glazing are also designed to handle the increased load.
I would also opt for triple glazing in new construction.
