Hello everyone,

We have now reached the planning stage. The garage (with a basement) can only be built as shown in the pictures. We are concerned about backing out the left car, especially if there is "light" traffic coming from the left (uphill).

Has anyone experienced a similar building situation?
Is it possible to install some kind of garage mirror to better see uphill traffic from the left when backing out?

Best regards,
Joachim

It already seems quite advanced to only now tap into collective intelligence.

Who (or what) says that? – I would actually say it’s only possible to build a driveway as shown if you want to add a traffic hazard to the neighborhood.

I can hardly imagine that such a driveway would be approved. At least where we are, it would be impossible. In theory, there are other options...

-> I wouldn’t know how I could have accessed collective intelligence any earlier...

-> That is exactly my concern as well.

-> Thanks for your feedback. I have now moved the garage further into the property and assume it will be approved this way.

By presenting the plan at a stage where it’s not just about positioning the garage differently next to an already "fully developed" house, but where completely different concepts can be contributed. Just from Katja alone, you can get a dozen construction proposals in a single thread—you just have to be open to the opportunity.
