Hello everyone,
I have another question.
We want to replace the doors in our prefabricated house. However, the wall thickness is only about 6.5cm (2.6 inches), so finding suitable door frames is difficult. I have a contact who installs parquet flooring and also fits doors. Unfortunately, the local manufacturer he works with does not offer door frames that narrow. I did find some options online. Since I would prefer to get the doors themselves through my contact, my question is whether it is possible to simply buy the door frames from a different shop and then source the doors locally? They should be standardized in some way, right? I made sure that the color tone matches (frame: CPL RAL 9016, door according to the catalog: lacquered RAL 9016).
Can these be combined like this, or what else should I consider? If it’s possible, I would order the frames online and have my contact source the doors.
Thanks!

The problem is that shipping costs apply if I stay under 500€ (about 530 USD), so I would prefer to order everything at once. However, I will measure the walls precisely again tomorrow.Exactly, hold a 2m (6.5 feet) straightedge against them and report back. But keep in mind that this means you will have no reserves. Perhaps a 50/50 option could be an alternative?
I have tried to find out a bit. According to the website, the door frame has a wall thickness adjustment range of -5 / +15 mm (-0.2 / +0.6 inches). So, if this adjustment can still be made within the above-mentioned measurement, I should always be fine with the smaller frame, or am I misunderstanding this?
