Hello,

I am looking for something to prevent the doors of the sauna and garden shed from swinging outward when a draft occurs, which is common here.

I have already bought a gate spring, but it is too rigid.

Do you have any suggestions for what I could use? I don’t want to install anything on the outside because of the appearance.

Good luck

Hello,
are these standard door hinges? There are also versions with a "braking function." In those, the lower part is slightly tapered, which prevents them from moving too easily on their own.

Best regards,

Andreas

Yes, basic hinges that essentially allow the door leaf to open fully to its limit.

Hmm, interesting question. Anything related to locking probably isn’t considered due to safety reasons, right? Or at least it would have to be possible to unlock from the inside in an emergency.
Nothing can jam that is stopped beforehand. Door stoppers in various designs are available on the market.

Storm hooks have been suggested here for shutters... Without a mechanical connection, there is no real "security"... Unless you use sandbags 🙄
