Hello everyone,

I am currently looking for an entrance door.

Material: Aluminum
Additional feature: optionally with Ekey
Price: should be reasonable per unit
Dimensions: 1455 x 2395 mm (57 x 94 inches)

Current offers:

1) Aluminum door with 5-point automatic locking, flush-mounted, sash overlapping, with side window panel and Ekey = €5400
Manufacturer (in-house production), the price also includes a construction site door
90 mm (3.5 inches) installation depth with thermally insulating core, U-value = 0.68 W/m²K, RC3 security class, 3 sealing levels plus magnetic threshold, 3 Dr. Hahn adjustable roller hinges, three-dimensionally adjustable.

2) Aluminum door with 3-point automatic locking, sash overlapping, with side window panel, without Ekey = €5000
Manufacturer Kompotherm

- Thermal insulation values from UD = 0.6 W/(m² x K)
- Depending on the system, 2, 3 or 4 sealing levels
- Profile systems from 70 to 121 mm (2.8 to 4.8 inches) installation depth
- Automatically lowering bottom seal

Question:
- I’m not an expert, but I think the first offer might be better?

- Can you recommend any other good suppliers?

Thanks a lot!!

Best regards

Is the ekey fingerprint system secure? Which version?
Is it a motorized lock?
I would always prefer local suppliers.

The first supplier offers ekey (I believe the latest Vision model), located 50 km (31 miles) away from me.

The second supplier is unknown – an online retailer.

The third supplier offers the manufacturer "Sommer" – a carpenter from my town.

I didn’t mean the scanner itself, but the control system.
Ekey Home, ekey Multi, and ekey Net...
Personally, I wouldn’t buy the front door online. However, there are many people with good experiences.
I prefer a local supplier who can quickly come by to help with minor issues...

I can’t say for sure... what would be best, or is it just a matter of preference?

I’m not sure which one I should choose, so option 1 or 3?

If you only have one door, the basic Home version would generally be sufficient. It’s not the most convenient for programming, but how often do you actually do that in a private house? If you are tech-savvy or have multiple doors, the Net version is more suitable.

It is planned only for the front door.

I don’t have a construction site door yet; the first provider offers it for free .

Therefore, the first provider is currently my favorite .

The SE Mini is sufficient and fits well with the trend of private users thanks to its app control.
