ᐅ Door Between House and Garage: Secondary Entrance Door as a Fire-Rated Door?

Hello!
We are building our garage directly attached to the house – at least that’s the plan for later; for now, it’s just the house.
Our front door will have a triple locking system with an automatic lock (RC1). All the windows are also RC1 rated.
The door to the garage is currently just a standard steel fire door with a standard lock and single locking mechanism. Because of this, I wanted a proper side entrance door with the same lock as the front door.
However, it seems such a door is not available as a fire door.
1) Is a fire door or a smoke-tight door (T30) really necessary there?
2) Does anyone know of T30 doors with a solid (at least triple) locking system (automatic lock installable) and an acceptable U-value?

We are planning a secondary entrance door T30 with Gu Secury Automatic. Cost is about 1000€. Do you have a description or a link for this door?
Hello, I would like to revisit this topic.
Our plan: door from the garage to the basement hallway (house on a slope).
The door supplier says we need to install a fire-rated door.
The architect says smoke protection is also important.
Our preference is a motorized lock with fingerprint access, RC2 security rating!
I have two specific questions:
1) What are the legal requirements (state of Bavaria)?
2) Has anyone had a similar situation and found an affordable solution?
P.S. Hörmann estimates €8,000 for this combination door, which is too expensive for me.
Thank you for any tips, advice, or experiences.

Hello Andy
I have a VDS1-rated safe door with a combination lock between the garage and the basement. There are also versions with fingerprint access. It was the most secure door at an affordable price (about 2,000 euros).
To satisfy the building authorities, I installed a fire door from Hörmann on the other side of the 50cm (20-inch) wall (200 euros).
If you are interested in a safe door, I can gladly provide you via private message with the company that makes custom safe doors well and affordably.
The (advertised) market leader that comes up first in Google searches is not the one.

Steven Thanks for your reply. I would like to know the manufacturer or distributor. Are these doors available with a motorized lock? Why did you have to install the fire-rated door as well? Is the safe door not available fire-resistant?
Hello Andy
Whether a vault door with a motorized lock is available? No idea. You need to check with the manufacturer.
I will send you two suppliers via private message tomorrow. I still need to look them up.
The vault door is not a fire-rated door. That’s why it is a T30 door. The building authority insisted on it.
