ᐅ Door contact cable routed to the technical/mechanical room

Hello, I have the following problem. For some reason, the electricians ran the cable from the door contact to the technical room instead of to the outdoor station of the doorbell. At the outdoor station, only a network cable is installed. This cable goes into the technical room. Since all the intercom systems so far have the contact at the outdoor station, I am unable to open the door (door latch). Is there any solution to this problem? My intercom system is PoE. Installing new cables, etc., is not possible. Thank you.

I can manage that.
Do you get the data via the network interface (if the interface is open, there should be a specification), or through another interface (RS485, etc.)? I assume the connection between the indoor and outdoor station won’t be a simple UDP or similar protocol. So, reading data should (only) be possible through a switch with a monitor port.
Or how should I imagine it?

Thanks, regards

It’s an add-on. Search for "Github Hikvision pergolafabio." It connects directly to all stations over IP and then links that to Home Assistant via MQTT. Like I said: you need motivation, time, and knowledge for this. But it’s really flexible.

The protocol is openly defined but has its quirks. The add-on handles all of that very well. If you’re really determined, you can of course write something like this yourself.

For example:
The doorbell rings, the indoor stations show the video. You press the “Open” button on the indoor station. This event is then sent to Home Assistant, which sends the command to the Nuki motor.

I also have a door sensor. If the bell rings and you happen to be at the door opening it, the call is automatically rejected through Home Assistant. So you don’t have to go to the door station to cancel the call there first.

First of all, sorry for hijacking your thread. I’ll step back now and might get back in touch if I find a solution.

As I said, my issue is that my version with camera, NFC, etc., is only available in the POE version from Metzler.
Is that so? Then I have one more problem. Unfortunately, I lack the technical affinity (or rather the willingness to delve deeply into my doorbell) for the version from @sysrun80.

First classic question. Is your network cable from the outdoor unit to the equipment room installed in a conduit?

If I understand the datasheet of the Metzler outdoor unit correctly, it only supports Fast Ethernet anyway. If you use PoE with phantom power, you only need 4 wires for that. That means you have 4 wires free in the network cable going back to the equipment room.

I just spoke with Metzler. According to them, there is no solution for my setup. They are even taking back the system (although it was purchased over six months ago – which I think is great!).
