Hello,
Yesterday, I painted over some grease stains on our new wall. Unfortunately, it didn’t have the desired effect—the new paint stands out and doesn’t look good.
Are there any home remedies or tricks to reduce the appearance of the “new” stains? Maybe a cleaning sponge or simply rubbing with warm water? The wall is quite large, so repainting would be very time-consuming.

You cannot touch up a dark color without it being noticeable. When touching up, always dab, never brush. If you dab on a darker color, it looks just like in his photo. He definitely used a brush.

It also depends on the color. For me, repainting with Caparol worked perfectly despite greasy children's hands and chocolate croissants.
Sanding probably won't help much here; I would recommend generously repainting the stains with a small roller.I used Keim Innotop. But if I roll on generously, won't I have the same problem along the edges?

Do not just sand off grease. It needs to be degreased. For that, you can use alcohol, nitro thinner, or acetone. After that, he will definitely need to repaint the entire wall.Similar topics
