ᐅ Do I need a building permit / planning permission for a roof renovation?

Hello forum,
we have purchased a semi-detached house.
We need to renew the roof and the cladding of the dormer.
The roof will be reinforced with 10cm (4 inches) beams, and a black roofing cover will be installed (the roof structure will be raised by about 20cm (8 inches)). Additionally, the eaves will be extended to 15–20cm (6–8 inches).
The dormer will be clad with slate.
No changes will be made to the structural engineering.
Now, my question is whether a building permit / planning permission is required for this, or if this work is exempt from approval?
There is no development plan for this area.

I look forward to your answers.

Best regards from Neumünster in the far north.

Without knowing the exact details, I agree with nordlys: no one really cares. But what’s important is that you comply with the energy saving regulations, because otherwise there could be significant fines if someone does care.

Ok, basically it is just a roof covering renewal, so maintenance. The only thing that concerns me is the doubling up of the beams. This is necessary to comply with the energy saving regulations or building energy codes.
