Matthias II10 Feb 2017 18:21Hello,
what distance from the front edge of a METOD cabinet (for oven and cooktop) should the Capita stainless steel legs be screwed in? It is not possible exactly where the plastic legs are clicked in, as those are the pre-drilled holes. The same issue applies at the back. I don’t see any indication in the instructions. Can someone help me with this?
Regards, Matthias

IKEA-Experte10 Feb 2017 18:28It doesn’t have to be exactly precise. I would choose the distance so that I can stand at the countertop without hitting my feet against it. In my case, the countertop has a gap of 4.5 cm (1.8 inches) from the carcass edge.

Matthias II10 Feb 2017 18:39Thanks for the reply. So it’s better to move it further back rather than further forward than the plastic legs.

IKEA-Experte10 Feb 2017 18:44If you have such square logs. But keep in mind that you usually don’t touch the facade with your feet.

Matthias II10 Feb 2017 18:59Only size 42. But I also have to consider the clamps for the baseboard.

IKEA-Experte10 Feb 2017 19:14That's also my shoe size. In front of the Capita, I have a 16mm (5/8 inch) thick baseboard.
