Hello,

I’m moving soon and currently wondering how to remove the BASISK wall spotlight without damaging the lamp or the wall? When the spotlight is mounted on the wall, the three screws in the “base” are covered by a metal ring that is glued onto the base. Of course, when assembling, I didn’t consider that the lamp would need to be taken down again at some point.

Do you have any helpful tips on how to do this? I’m a bit at a loss...

Best regards

The only thing I can think of is warm water to soften the adhesive a bit, but due to the electrical wiring, it isn’t suitable. Or a hairdryer. That should make it a bit easier. Otherwise, I don’t know of any other options...

A hairdryer is a good idea. But on Saturday, I’ll stop by Ikea and ask how they do it—maybe there’s a secret trick.
