We have hardwood flooring throughout the apartment and are now looking for a suitable dirt-trapping mat for the entrance area. Where can we find one?
Thanks for the information

A dirt-trap carpet? For inside the apartment? Wouldn’t a simple bristle doormat or a slightly higher-quality dirt-trapping mat also work? Maybe I’m misunderstanding the term “dirt trap,” because I always imagine an oversized setup with huge entrance mats and revolving doors in large lobbies. :o
Hi,
we also always had the problem that everyone tracked in a lot of dirt. But we were able to solve this by placing a mat at the door. These mats come in all sizes and many colors. They can also be machine washed if they are not too large. I can’t think of a better solution for this.

Nicole1981-14 Oct 2014 16:31I have these entrance mats designed to trap dirt, and they come in various sizes. The advantage is that they are very durable. The underside has a rubber layer, so they don’t slip. They are also available in different colors, which match any type of tile.
Cleaning is done with a vacuum cleaner, and especially during the winter months, I put the mat in the washing machine. I wash it at 30°C (86°F), and afterward, it looks almost new. I can definitely recommend this.

Serena1990-111 Oct 2014 07:14I took another look because our mats are a bit worn out. I considered Nicole’s suggestion and then searched online. I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised, and above all, they are very affordable. I’ll go ahead and order them next week.
