Hello Faktum kitchen owners,
I am moving soon and will be taking my Faktum kitchen with me.
Now I need to buy a corner cabinet.

My problem:
In the downloadable Faktum PDF overviews, the cabinet is listed as 120x60cm (47¼x23½ inches).
However, when I select it in the online shop, the dimensions show as 120x70cm (47¼x27½ inches)!
Since the kitchen is only 5sqm (54 sq ft), that 10cm (4 inches) difference is very significant.
Could someone who has such a corner base cabinet please measure it and tell me the actual dimensions?

Many thanks!!!

Hello Lummerland,
the cabinet itself measures 120cm x 60cm (47 inches x 24 inches), plus an additional panel of 10cm (4 inches) that keeps the adjoining cabinet at a distance. This is to prevent the drawer of the cabinet from catching on the handle or a door from opening fully, especially if you have internal drawers.

Mr. Rossi, thank you very much!

So I could simply leave out the cover panel if I place a base cabinet with a door next to it.

Of course, knowing that it will never fully open...

Hi lummerland,
you can’t remove them completely, but then you’ll have the problem that both doors, the sink base cabinet and the tall cabinet, won’t open fully. You can shorten them to 22mm (about 7/8 inch) and fasten them with shorter screws. This is how the cabinet was originally designed to prevent the doors from rubbing against each other when opened.

By the way, a door on the adjacent cabinet requires more space than a pull-out drawer, because the handle must not hit the corner cabinet. However, the drawer front also needs to clear the handle of the corner cabinet door. You just need to mentally swap the sides and replace one pull-out with a door.
