ᐅ How should floor-to-ceiling windows be dimensioned in the floor plan?

IppebsonHello everyone,
Regarding the above-mentioned topic, I’m a bit stuck at the moment. Reading through online sources has only confused me further. That’s why I’m hoping for some expert help here.
In the current version of our floor plan, the dimensions for a floor-to-ceiling window (patio door) show a width of 320 and a height of 246. The width is clear enough, but from which reference point is the height of 246 measured? The clear ceiling height is 2.50 m (8 ft 2 in), meaning from the top edge of the finished floor. How is the typical construction with a roller shutter box and lintel usually arranged in this case?
Best regards,
Ippebson

Normally, dimensions are given from the top edge of the finished floor...
And it refers only to the rough opening, not the finished window itself.

20 cm (8 inches) reinforced concrete slab as the intermediate ceiling to the upper floor.
The parapet height in this case does not exist, since this is a "window" without a parapet (patio door). The parapet height of the other windows that are not flush with the floor is measured from the top edge of the finished reinforced concrete sill, for example, parapet height 110 cm (43 inches) = 90 cm (35 inches) above the top edge of the finished floor.
My assumption, as the last post suggested, is from the top edge of the finished floor:
- 20 cm (8 inches) floor construction (insulation, screed, and covering)
- 246 cm (97 inches) rough opening including roller shutter box
- 4 cm (1.5 inches) lintel
then the ceiling above that.
I couldn’t find an explicit specification in the plans. I still need to check the section drawing again to see if there is any information on this...
