I’m currently thinking about different types of house construction systems, as there are loads of them.
Why is a brick house called a solid house when 80% of the brick is actually air? So it’s not really solid. With the new bricks, you already have difficulties attaching heavier objects.

A “wood house,” meaning a timber frame house, isn’t really a wood house—it’s just a framed structure filled with insulation. Hmm, how do you securely fasten things there?

A concrete house with expanded polystyrene blocks is quite airtight, so there’s no way for moisture to escape outward—it’s diffusion tight, which isn’t ideal. It should be at least diffusion open. Also, insulation with expanded polystyrene isn’t my favorite—it's not pressure-resistant and offers poor protection against summer heat, among other drawbacks.

Now I came across something that I think is amazing. What do you think about:
A house made of solid wood walls? That already looks great. I even visited a construction site. Honestly, I’m really impressed. What are your opinions on this?

The price, with turnkey construction, is comparable to a brick house, but it’s solid 🙂

Looking forward to many opinions!

So... If a supplier’s website already presents itself as 'Home - Meine Homepage', then the whole thing becomes pointless.
And even the manufacturer of the wall material still recommends an additional 100mm (4 inches) of insulation...

It’s always advertising anyway, what he posts, the same thing for years...
