Hello,

I will try to get straight to the point.
Can someone briefly explain the differences between what I would call "prefabricated wooden houses," like Scanhaus Marlow, Danwood, Massahaus, etc., and wooden houses from networks like 81fünf that promote traditional carpentry companies from the local region?

What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Thank you very much.

In addition to @hampshire, this is often referred to as healthy living.

Yes, unfortunately a term that is often misused. In my view, it is an important subject and a field that cannot be overlooked without interest and careful study.

In the prefab house sector, the smaller manufacturers are unfortunately often not much further ahead than the big ones were fifty or sixty years ago.
You can’t really make such a general statement!
Especially the small, owner-operated companies want and need to clearly differentiate themselves from the big players. Healthy living and sustainability are often emphasized keywords. Whether you agree with that or not, prices tend to be higher than those of the "big" manufacturers. But it is also possible to build without the sometimes controversial OSB panels. Most don’t even offer a standard catalog house. These companies tend to build very individually and often with high quality. Of course, there are also small companies for which @11ant’s statement applies. You just have to check very carefully.
The companies from the 81fünf network that we have visited and evaluated all belonged to the kind of business I described. I believe that choosing a company from this network is probably a safe bet.

Our carpenter is part of the 81fünf network, and we were very satisfied. However, membership in this network was not decisive for our choice.

For us, it’s the same; it was arranged through the architect.

Here is the same; I only mentioned this network for reference and illustration purposes. I also wanted to point out that this company does not act as a general contractor. While, upon request, they do coordinate subcontractors, this is not mandatory.
