Good morning everyone,
The tiles have now been selected (90 x 90 cm (35 x 35 inches); 10 mm (0.4 inches) thick), and I still need black trim profiles.
Therefore, I have the following questions:
1. What is the difference between L-shaped profiles and square profiles?
2. If you use square profiles, do you then need the matching end caps?
3. If my tile is 10 mm (0.4 inches) thick, do I need a profile height of 11 mm (0.4 inches)?
Thank you very much.

1. What is the difference between L-profiles and square profiles? You use the L-profile to finish the transition between tile and plaster if the plaster is flush with the tile; if the tile overlaps the plaster, you use square profiles.XAMMAX2 schrieb:

3. If my tile is 10 mm thick, then I need the profile height to be 11 mm, right? That's how I understood the explanation as well.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

3. If my tile is 10 mm (0.4 inches) thick, do I need a rail height of 11 mm (0.4 inches)? If you install 90x90 cm (35x35 inches) tiles, you’ll apply a generous layer of adhesive (using the buttering-floating method). This means the tile with adhesive can be 14 mm (0.6 inches) or more in height. So, would an 11 mm (0.4 inches) rail look good in that case?

1. What is the difference between L-shaped rails and square rails? One is L-shaped, the other is square-shaped 😉
Both can be used as edging practically anywhere—whether for transitions, corners, or edges. Whether it's tile to plaster or tile to tile. It’s purely a matter of taste. L-shaped rails are noticeably more delicate.
